More About Me…
Something that I realized throught the planning of my own wedding is that I didn't just want vendors. I wanted people who made me feel comfortable, courageous and people I could count on to have real conversations with before, during and after my wedding day. Your photographer is one of the only vendors who is by your side from morning to night on your wedding day - get to know them on a deeper level, share your experiences, let me know what’s important to you because whatever it is that’s important to you, is important to me too.
I was sixteen when I held my first professional camera. John, my boyfriend at the time, now husband bought it for me for Christmas one year. But honestly, I would be lying to you if I said that the day I picked up the camera is the day that I knew Photography was it for me. I did free sessions for my friends here and there, took some landscape photos every time I traveled and that was about it for the entire first year I had my good ol’ first ever camera. My late teenage years is when I really knew I wanted to do this professionally and I took on my first wedding when I was only 19. Now in my twenties, I am a full-time Photographer living out my dream of traveling and capturing love that people are going to be able to have documented for a life time.
Aside from my Photography journey, I graduated from SUNY Brockport with my Bachelors Degree and dual certification in Childhood Education/Special Education with a Concentration in Mathematics. My two passions: Photography and Teaching. I hope to someday still be able to use my teaching degree in some way, shape or form as it truly is something that inspires me but as of right now I wouldn’t change working for my business full-time for anything.
I married my bestfriend and high school sweetheart in June of 2023 (it just so happens that you might get the chance to meet him if you book us for your wedding day) and we live with our golden doodle puppers, Lucy Lu. I was born in Winter Haven, Florida and also have dual citizenship with Canada. Some of my favorite things include sunsets, traveling, plants, draft beers, camping, the beach, country music, reading, chicken wings and of course, the Buffalo Bills (fun fact, a couple of years ago my husband and I spontaneously decided to get matching Bills tattoos with a couple of our best friends down in Nashville).
These last few years have really opened my eyes into believing what they always say is true - dedicate yourself, believe in yourself and never give up which leads me to this - I am so thankful for all of you, whether you’ve been apart of my clientele family for years now, you’ve booked with me in the past or even just took time out of your day to read this.
On that note, if you’re an adventurous soul like me I would be honored to capture your story.
